Frame Ledged and Braced Doors

A framed ledged and braced door can be made for either internal or external use. This style consists of the vertical run tongue and groove boards typical of ledged and braced doors and is held together by horizontal ledges to keep the doors rigidity. The difference between a standard ledged and braced door and one that is framed is that the door is held together by a mortise and tenon timber frame to enhance the strength of the door. The tongue and groove boards used in these doors are available in various styles from a more simple V-groove style to a more decorate beaded mould.

All our joinery is custom made therefore we are able to manufacture to any shape or size. Because we make to order you can help us to craft the desired finish for your door. You can select your desired timber, your preferred finish (painted, natural stain or even unfinished), whether the door opens in or out and of course your choice of quality ironmongery. It goes without saying that our craftsmen are on hand to advise you every step of the way.
